The Sewing (and sorting!) Room
This week has been a busy one (as usual). Apart from drying out the stock from yet another soggy fair, I have also been sorting out various rooms at home. This room (above) became empty after son no. 2 took the spare bed off to his new flat (!)

Your little room, looks lovely. Its so nice to have somewhere to put stuff. I'm really messy, I keep my stock in a room of doom, no self discipline! such a mess and totally impractical as on the top floor of the house....everytime I have a fair I have to trudge up two flights of stairs with my stock....Mr is building me a shed thank goodness.
Have a happy Sunday
Sophie
Looks great and will be lovely to sit in and do your sorting and pricing IF you don't just open the door and dump stuff in there "til you get round to it"!!
Looks like a lovely space to fill up ;-)) I love the flower picture on your wall. Good luck all the fairs you have coming up. dee xx
oh the bliss of a vacated room!
so any things it MIGHT become...and we all know it will eventually evolve into that Room of Doom!
love the cactus print cloth

Certainly not a 'room of doom' (great phrase), good luck with it.
Everyone needs a space like this!
There's nothing quite like 'A Room of One's Own'. How kind of your son to remove the bed so that you have more space!

A sorting room, now that's what I need! Perhaps I should just sort out the rooms we've got first?
Love that green!

Thank you for all your lovely friendly and kind comments. i really will try not to just shove stuff in there.. when i am too busy to deal with things.... You know me too well MJ! Have a good week everybody. xxx
I'd say yipee another room for dolls houses! No be controlled, a sorting room sounds good and will give you a bit more space in your living room too. Good luck at Chipping. See you soon, Jane xx
Ha ha Jane, love your comment! Did you get my cheque for the fair yet?? xx
Far from a room of doom Lizzie! Love it...The green painted shelves etc work beautifully in your cottagey home. Have fun in your new space,

Thank you niki, I was pleased with the way the green theme came together! xx
Oh dear! Some might say that all my rooms are "Rooms of Doom". The worst belonging to the son who hasn't flown the nest. Another problem is that while he's still here being fed, watered and generally kept clean, I can't claim that my textiles are from a "pet-free home".
It's looking good! My own 'room of doom' needs a serious sort out - I can just walk down the middle. It used to be quite nice but is now a mess - a few more vintage jumbles might help!
I think some might judge all our room so be Rooms of Doom - the doomiest belonging to the son-who-is-still-at-home. We feed, water & keep him clean as best we can - no wonder he's still here, making it impossible to claim that my textiles come from a "pet-free home".
Hi Liz
Dare I say I was almost shocked to see so much floor space?!!!!! Brilliant news that you can have a sewing/prep room and not a room of doom! I still have the latter but as the rest of the house is beginning to take shape this one will just have to wait for the time being! Soon she cries, soon ...
Just found your blog, I shall follow with great interest.
Thank you for sharing so much!
Thank you Sue and my latest follower (Blackenpot). The room is filling fast after a manic week of buying. Have a good weekend. lizzie x
