Here are a few of the Winter warmers.. vintage jackets and coats that are coming with me to the fair. Above is a French 50's coat, size 14 approx, very cosy.
This gents cashmere coat is pretty cool, I also have it in navy, but that one has gone into the Dairy House as Sue is always asking me to put more vintage clothing onto my stand, so I have obliged!
Lastly this little gem of a childs coat! I bumped into a friend in a carpark in town yesterday and she has already said she wants first dibs on this one!! I still have a couple of reduced entry tickets to the fair so please leave a message if you are interested.
PS. I have to add how much I enjoyed Kirsty's programme last night. I watch very little TV, but I felt this was worth giving up an hour for! Anyone who promotes reusing, recycling and making items for your home has to be applauded. Of course a lot of what she says and does it what many of us have been doing for years, BUT it is about time that this country's obsession with "buying new" needs to change. I will now step down from the soap box before I get started on Christmas!!!

ooh they're beautiful- I'm sitting here eating porridge wrapped in a blanket, and this morning was supposed to be warmer!

that was quick, hadn't finished the bloggie post..... and you were there! xx
Love, love, love that barkcloth!
Those curtains are so lovely.
Also enjoying Kirst but not watched yesterdays one yet.

I agree about Kirsty - if she just inspires people to think about handmade/vintage then she's doing a great job :)
Wonder if your feelings on Christmas are similar to mine?
That child's coat is lovely! SueXXX
Yes, and even Royalty are recycling engagement rings!!!!
Hi Ruth, I wasn't sure about the ring initially, then decided it was a splendid idea!!
Lovely stuff as always Lizzie. The French coat is gorgeous!
I hope the weather is kind to you, the back drop will look brill, I will get there one day!
Did Kirsty not film anything with you at Ardingly??

oooh, those curtains are so fab Liz!!! Love them! Dont worry about lack of contact, When we meet up again it will be like we have spoken all the time anyway! We have bad colds/sore throats at the moment, yuck, and of course, the new puppy....do I need to say more? hehehehehehehehehe
Those cushions need to be on a chair !!!!! with a little bit of Maud's shocking pink !
Thank you so much for the tickets which arrived safely yesterday. I would write a proper letter but guess you wouldn't receive it till after the event! Looking forward to meeting you - not sure if we will come on the Saturday or the Sunday yet.
I too am enjoying Kirsti's programme though not as much as the last series. She is certainly game trying out all those different crafts isn't she although I doubt if she actually finishes any of it! Bit like me there then!!!

amazing finds! I am watching Kirsty too, I love the crafting and beautiful rooms. Though it is so easy for her to have the time and money (yes money) to be thrifty though because she has help and doors open - nanny and more - but I still enjoy the sentiment and ideas. Will you be at Chipping Sodbury because I am hoping to go? Love Helen
I would love to wear those beautiful tailored clothes.. They do remind me so much of my mother as all her clothes were made for her in the 40's and 50's.. I remember dressing up in her silk dresses and wonderful coats and sitting inside her large wardrobe that always smelled of mothballs and made me yearn for Narnia.
Good luck at the fair Lizzie.. Dress up warmly.

P.s I would happily wear that fabulous barkcloth too!
Beautiful clothes Liz and I am enjoying watching Kirsty too. I agree with you about people 'buying new', give me vintage any day!! Hope your cold is better.
Jo xx
