I do love these cut-out dolls. As a child I collected the ones from the back of the Bunty comics, and played for hours and hours with them. I wish I still had them as they were a great record of the fashions of the late 60's and early 70's. I gave them to a younger cousin when I was about 14.
I bought these recently in France, and look forward to when my niece comes to stay so that we can cut them out and have a play!
This unusual set of cut out dolls came to me recently, but has since sold to a lovely regular customer at the Honiton Fair.

Oh Bunty...how I just LOVED Bunty!
xx
I love those cut out dolls. I used to play with them all the time when I was younger. I love the pink dress and the blue dress with pink bows. This has bought back so many memories for me. Thank you. xxxx
Oh Liz, thank you for this reminder of how I loved these when I was a child in the '50s. Looking back I sort of thought they were an austerity thing, though in fact I had a huge collection of proper dolls. But of course they were really about dressing up and fashion. At the V and A Grace Kelly exhibition I dithered about buying the Paper Dolls Cut Out book(http://www.vandashop.com)but decided that I would rather have the T-shirt with 'faux' pearls!(How was Stroud BTW?)
So did i we used to have Bunty delivered by the paper man ! had it for years my sister had Judy i played for hours with those cut outs ... my favourite is the green ish one holding the lantern Kieren
Some of my favorite childhood memories are of taking my allowance, going to the local penny store and buying a new paper doll set each week! Sigh, those were great times and after all these years I can still remember the colors and designs on some of the outfits!
Thanks for the great memories...
Tina
Ooooh! That green dress is rather swish!
I remember the Bunty comics and the cut out dolls - wish I had kept my collection - I loved them.
Was it the Bunty that had the Four Marys? Every week an adventure and you could rely on the four Mary's to restore justice by teatime!
Gorgeous! I love the 'cowgirl' outfit - wish I had some vintage cowboy boots like that!! Tamzin X

What a super find- I would love to play with those with my girls! I used to have a Princess Diana wedding edition of one of those dolls when I was a child, it had all her real wedding outfits- wedding dress, reception outfit, 'going away' outfit etc! xx
I remember those dolls - started with the ones in Twinkle and progressed onto Bunty when I was a little older.
