Last week I was fortunate enough to visit a lady who had kept some of her clothes from the late 60's. What a treat to have the opportunity to purchase some much-loved items from the Biba store in London, an Ossie Clark pair of fabulous silky trousers, a raunchy zip-up leather jacket, a pair of courreges French sunglasses and several other goodies.....
These will be coming with me to the Stroud fair on Saturday, but you are welcome to email me at
jltg40@aol.com if you feel the temptation to purchase a slice of Fashion History!

Lucky lucky you :-)
I would be tempted if the sizes were right but I know Biba abd Ossie clothes were built for the tiny framed
My mum has a suitcase filled with her clothing from the 60's & 70's from minis & evening dresses to platforms & trouser suits - my daughter loved dressing up in them but she still hasn't parted with them!
I know what you mean Donna... the ossie trousers have a size 12 label - but are TINY.
wow Jayne... that sounds like vintage bliss, a real time capsule!

I loved Biba.. my mother took me there once.. I loved the opulence and decadence of the place..I also had a Mary Quant bedcover and matching curtains.. wish I still had them!
I was lucky enough to wear an Ozzie Clark dress when I was 16 and skinny!.. my sister in law (now) lent it to me for a special night out...I felt so elegant in it despite the fact I had a huge spot on my face.. teenage angst!
What a treat to see these wonderful relics from the 60's..
Love

Glad you enjoyed a glimpse, they were pretty hard to photograph as the fabric on the Biba items is so silky & reflective!
Hope you have an enjoyable day.. is it snowing in Bath?
