Lace........................

I was recently fortunate in having the opportunity to purchase this collection of beautiful lace. It would appear to have been several Edwardian dresses at one time.....

But for some reason they have been totally dismantled  - and now come in "kit form" for some talented person to put back together.....

My Vintage mannequin is doing her best to give you an idea.......

I will be bringing this collection of lace to the Talent for Textiles Fair in Ilminster on Saturday. The event is held in the Meeting House at the top of the High Street. Always a lovely occasion, the small hall will be brimming with textiles and treasures, and there will be stalls outside too.

The doors open at 9.30, so might see you there?

Beautiful lace - how wonderful to add these to your collection. Do you know anything else about them? Who they belonged to, type of lace?

Thanks for mentioning the Talent for Textiles show - might be able to come to that as not too far away. Love the lace you have there especially the "bolero" pieces.

Such beautiful lace. Lovely to see you at Ardingly - hope you had a successful visit. Wasn't it cold, though? Don't think I found any bargains but a few nice things (mostly from indoor sellers where it was a little warmer!).

Antique lace is always such a special find, isn't it Liz? Your pieces look particularly beautiful.

Wonderful lace Lizzie, so beuatiful. Thanks for the comment on my blog. I'm afraid I won't be able to see you at Newark. We have stopped going to Newark, just going to buy at Lincoln and standing as a casual there when the weather is fine. The website is really busy so we had to make some serious decisions. I shall miss the fairs. Hope you have a good time.
