A few more of my favourite things.....

Thought I would add a few more of my favourite things to cheer up the day! First up is a fabulous green painted Dolls house bedroom set which I bought many years ago in an auction. It came with the original bedcover & cushions.... if only it were fullsize, It would look great in my bedroom! Next is my collection of flowery china, the plates are very special as they belonged to my Grandmother.
Now I really do have a "thing" about 1930's and 1940's mannequin heads. This one is awaiting some small cosmetic repairs to her nose. I will get around to it sometime!

Another thing I enjoy are red geraniums, they remind me of France where every window ledge & garden wall are covered in them. At the end of the summer I cannot throw them away, so they all come inside & crowd onto the bathroom window ledge until the spring....

Love the needlepoint carpet in your 'bedroom'! Definately think you should get a can of that green paint and go for it! Love grannie's chintz! t.x

Thank you.. as Niki & Hesta would tell you I have rather a lot of cans of green paint.. Hubby used to work at B&Q so I purchased enough to last a lifetime!!!!

Hi Liz,

Geraniums and chintzy crockery - can't beat it, definitely some of my favourite things too! The bedroom is gorgeous - perhaps you should recreate it full-size!

Just read all about Ardingly - probably just as well we decided against it, although it seems wherever we go at the moment it rains! Where's that Indian Summer we've been promised?!

We all need pretty cheerful things to brighten up our days!

I'm sorry to read that your shed was flooded - what a pain having to move everything & dry it out!

Hope to see you at the Bath fair on Sunday.

Greetings. Just to say I love your Granny's china and wouldn't it look fabulous in the vintage dolls house. Could you print the photo of the china (dolls house size) and fix to the wall for the dolls to drool over! Just a thought. I'll call again. Eli

I could move in to that beautiful boudoir very happily!
I love your Chintz collection .. and surrounding yourself with beautiful possessions makes life rosier in my opinion.. as humble as it is!

See you soon at the Vintage Textile fair...!
